Swim 1 hour

Today I tried the gym for the first time and realized that I'm definitely not a fish. I resembled a furry creature that was thrown into a vat of liquid, most likely against their will. But after a couple of laps I started to feel more comfortable and ended up staying in longer than I had initially planned. Treading water feels different than running, but good.

11.0

Ran just about 11.0 today...on a sore ankle and very little sleep. For much of the day I struggled with dehydration and the beginnings of a massive headache. Unfortunately, this perseverance caused a major problem come midnight when I was unable to fall asleep. I woke up at 7:15, to overcast skies with a threat of rain. My ankle hurt a little and which amounted to major questioning of my sanity to be throwing down a long run on an injury. I was late, as usual, and ended up doing a mix of trails and road with D-. The conversation helped to keep an even pace which made tackling Bubba and the sprint back from Lafayette an exhilarating experience. Today's was a good run and surprisingly, I'm much better off for having gotten myself out and about on such a dreary morning. -Lee Drive - trails after Bubba past Picket's - trail from cannons to Hamilton's Crossing.

6.5

Ran 6.5 this morning with the group. I should really start remembering to hit the Chrono when I finish but yeah, that never seems to happen. We started out way too fast, I suspect that this had something to do with running with a group instead of going solo. My ankle is killing me. I've got 10/11 scheduled for tomorrow. We'll see if I can still walk when I'm done. I also checked out gyms today so that I can supplement my running with swimming on off/light days... oy vey, and I think that I'm fighting off a virus..

5.75

Ran 5.75 today, and man did it suck. I'm back in VA after running on snow covered country roads in upstate NY. I don't know if it's the change in air pressure, quality or temperature that got to me. But I'm glad to be done and ready to rest until tomorrow. Ankle - still hurts - ran with ace we'll see how it feels tonight. - run 4.5 w/hill - 100's sprints 0.5 - run 0.75
